New Books?

Ahhh.. nothing beats the excitement and happiness I feel when we get hold of a new book :)  But with my hectic schedule, yes, hectic because I’m in such a major lazy mode right now, I just wonder when can I converge the energy to read it?

Bought.

The 6th offering of a 10 part book, Into Deep bring our favorite siblings, Amy and Dan to the land Down Under.   I’d better get a move on finishing Book 5. :)

Will buy.

The Butchoboy’s  awaited book.  Actually,  I didn’t buy this because it’s still hardbound.  And we didn’t want to deviate from the first 3.   This time, our lazy hero Greg is on Summer Vacation.    I just hope the TPB version comes out soon.  In the meantime, will consider this…

I’m actually excited about this… it seems like a light story from Cecilia.  Rich girl Tamara goes poor. :)  Oh.. I wonder when? :)

I got intrigued when this was “highly recommended” by Stephanie Meyer.  Though YA in classification, the theme of fighting for food intrigues me more.. with a love story. :) hehe..   And it now has a sequel, Catching Fire.

But its now time to look for another author to follow. Off hand, I’m interested in

Yes, The Mysterious Benedict Society is again from the YA genre..  Its my favorite and, it gets the Butchoboy into reading too.   Todate, only book 1 is available and a “new arrival” at that. :)     Those who trash Young Adult series — don’t forget who gave the world Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Narnia and Twilight, to name a few.  These books were supposed to be for the 9-12’s only.

I’m still searching to broaden my chick-lit authors but I haven’t seen any Chris Manby books here.  Only in Borders and MHS :(  But,  I’ve still got a high pile of TBR hence, this wil do for the meantime.

  • I love new books too!
And yes, you can attribute that to your great influence! =D

The trouble is, I can’t get out of the young adult genre! Hahahaha!
And I’m soooo super into movie-tie ins or TV-tie ins!

But still, I have the honor of introducing you to Bobby Pendragon! (Thanks to Miko and my backache!)

  • Like I said, nothing is wrong with the young adult genre… Its still my favorite.. :)

Oo nga.. ask Miko, any new suggestions?
